8-month-old kittens left in a bag in a store are thriving… sister Garland was adopted, and we are so happy for her… Tinsel and Star - two bonded brothers… possibly maybe just best friends …still wait… We will never know their history, but we know their future. It is bright… they have been waiting patiently at Petco Commack, being loved by the volunteers…asking for love, desperately wanting love …perhaps they were loved where they were before. Maybe their being abandoned was a loving act… but here they wait for their happily ever after ….please visit them at Petco Commack and…adoption application at www.northportcatrescue.org.
Meet beautiful Skunk

the sweetest little girl, around six months old, ready for her forever home! She is gentle, affectionate, and playful and has been waiting a while for her happily ever after

Meet siblings Elsa and Cyrus, 4-month-old, long-haired kittens, and Northport Cat Rescue Associations kittens of the week on this week's Patch! Elsa is a long-haired calico with the softest fur and the most beautiful markings. She is a sweet, lady-like little girl. She is completely content just sitting in your lap, purring, and giving and getting affection. She loves her brother and will watch his silly antics from your lap. Cyrus has long black and white fur. His sister's protector, he adores her and will cuddle her and lick her face when he is snuggling her. He struts around like he owns the place with his fearless and silly personality. Don't let that fool you, though; he is a big mush ball, surrounding your neck as if you have a fur collar on, purring away. They both wag their tails like a dog whenever they are happy. These two are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside and are the most gentle and sweet kittens, waiting patiently for their forever home, where they can grow up together. www.northportcatrescue.org

Beautiful big boy Ollie - around five years young - front paw declawed sweet as pie finds himself looking for a new home…on Long Island at www.northportcatrescue.orgDeclawed Cats for Adoption/NY Area.

Beautiful Tortellini is still patiently waiting! Only around two years old, she is timid, but she will come to you with gentle words for love and affection. Her markings are beautiful, and she loved a cozy spot to lie and a window to look out when in foster care. She is currently at Petco Huntington, and once her door opens, she loves neck scratches and head rubs and someone to play with. Please visit her …she has been waiting too long and was one of the only cats in our habitats that did not go home before the holidays.

Maybe she is just what your heart needs for Valentines's Day

Meet our amazing and adorable kittens of the week…bonded sisters Lucy and Ethel!

Meet Grayson…the most affectionate cat you will probably ever meet. Rescued from a colony, shivering cold, dirty, and scared, this poor baby was more than likely abandoned there. He had no idea how to be a tough cat; he constantly asked his feeders to help him. One finally did; our wonderful volunteers, Al and Grayson, have been thanking him since while in foster care. Estimated only to be around 18 months, he tries to be friends with other cats, but if they hiss at him, he gently walks away. He doesn't mind so long as a kind human gives him all the love and affection he requests. He will sit on your chest and rub his whiskers all over your face. He is the ultimate couch potato buddy and will give you snuggles for as long as you want them. This one is a dream…if you would like to meet this sweet boy, please fill out an application at www.northportcatrescue.org (never a commitment), and we can set up a meet and greet! Be ready because we guarantee you will fall madly in love with him!!

Meet sweet and beautiful Smokey

With her Russian-blue-like fur and sweet temperament, this girl has stolen all our hearts. Smokey is around 1-2 years old. She was living in a colony outside but was always so friendly and loving, her feeders always hoped to get her into rescue. She is loving and affectionate and loves head butts and pets. She makes growl-like purrs as if she does not understand how to tell you she is happy. She is not quite sure how to play with toys, but we are sure with patience she will learn. Life outside does take its toll on these fur babies and so an experienced and patient cat owner would be a great match for Smokey so that she could understand what it feels like to be safe in a home and finally relax peacefully. Smokey is currently at Petco Commack and loves visitors to fill out an application at www.northportcatrescue.org
