The Chief of Police, Cecile, states that a young woman on her way home with a gallon of milk for her family from a corner store was struck in the middle of her body by a stray bullet during a crossfire.
Syracuse Police state that a girl was brought to Upstate Hospital where, later on, she was declared dead.
Meanwhile, according to Chief Cecile, a 19-year-old individual believed to be the intended target of the shooting is in a stable situation at the same hospital, where they had arrived via a privately-owned car after being shot in the leg.
Chief Cecile believes that a 19-year-old would have been the victim of the firing and is now in a steady state of health at Upstate Hospital after being wounded in the leg.
According to police, the young person was brought to the medical facility in a personal automobile.
